An introduction of sorts...

Hello all,

I'll try not to get too existential on you but hey, what exactly am i here for???
Well, to put it in context, over the last few years, a variety of events and developments have led to my life grinding to pretty much a complete standstill. I'm pieceing things back together gradually, finding my feet so to speak (albeit dragging my heels in the process).

Of course that's of little relevance to anyone, so why am i starting a blog of music reviews? To be honest, there's no great thinking behind it other than being something to pass the time and keep myself good and lucid. I don't expect my reviews to have any great effect on anyone's life (i don't even know if anyone's gonna bloody read them yet!), but if they do accidentally help some dazed and confused music fan, or maybe even turn someone onto something new, then i'll be secretly both astonished and very happy to help.

I'll build up the collection over the coming weeks and months, trying to cover a variety of artists which get me inordinately excited in their own ways. For each artist i cover, i plan to firstly provide basic star ratings at the top of the review (* up to *****, plus 1/2 scores - don't ask me why). Underneath i'll blather to my heart's content. Simple as that really.
